The DFBMBE Podcast Trials on ustream.tv

Posted in The DFBMBE BlogPosts by David on January 26th, 2008

Well after some thought and consideration, we have finally launched a trial of the podcast on ustream.tv. The aim is to do the show LIVE every week on camera and at the same time record it for the normal audio podcast delivery. The ustream.tv platform offers us the opportunity to interact in real time with our audience via the ustream.tv chat interface as well as twitter and other social media platforms that offer microblogging.

Hopefully it will work out well.

2 Spare Chicken Breasts :(

Posted in The DFBMBE BlogPosts by David on January 26th, 2008

I just went to my ‘fridge to find that I had recently bought 2 chicken breasts and that today was the last “use by day”.

Living on my own at the moment I am often guilty as charged, of not eating healthy yayayayayaya. So I have got into experimental mode. Looking around the kitchen cupboards I found a packet of Broccoli soup mix. So what I have done is to prepare the soup mix as instructed on the packet. Simultaneously, I washed off the chicken breasts and seasoned them and seared them in the frying pan for 6 minutes or so. Once the soup mix had got to the “and simmer” stage, I tossed the breasts (now “cubed”) into the soup mix.

I then simmered the chicken in the soup mix for 20 minutes.

Result? A really tasty dish for dinner this evening and I think I will have some pasta with it.

Just an idea of how to get a bit creative on a Saturday Lunchtime.

Bon Appetit!
